BROWN ENE'S100 DAYS IN OFFICE AS AGN CHAIRMAN ENUGU STATE CHAPTER; THE WAY FORWARD!

Today the Chairman and entire executive members of ACTORS GUILD OF NIGERIA ENUGU STATE CHAPTER celebrates 100 days in office. We first of all wish to thank the Almighty God for His grace upon us and the entire members of the Enugu chapter.

In this first 100 days in office, we have recorded huge paradigm shift from moribund chapter to viable one.

1. In the first 1 month of our inception, we changed the overall outlook of the office both interior and exterior, engaged an office secretary who resumes office from 9am to 4pm on Monday through Friday. In the office, hung on the wall are image portraits of the 5 past chairmen of the State chapter.

2. The Executive members, led by the Chairman Comrade Brown N. Ene have engaged in building and fraternizing with other sister Guilds and associations such as DGN, CDGN, AMP, etc. This all important synergy made it possible for AGN and these other sister bodies to speak in one voice when it comes to welfare of its members.

3. We have gone for courtesy visits to the guild's veterans on formal introductions with openness to advise and ideas that will move the guild forward. Some of the ace actors visited so far include Chief Pete Edochie who gladly welcomed us with warm dozes of fatherly advice to help further shape the Guild; and also chief Zebrudaya who is a great encourager and adviser.

4.  By the 3rd month, we introduced the GburusCare Initiative to the guild and have their team identify and support the aged in the guild while subjecting them to an overall medical check up and those with underlining health challenges are directed to their nearest government clinic and they promised to move to the young people as time goes by, all free of charge.

5. We were introduced to Enugu State Government through the SA on Entertainment, Hon. Ndidi Obi where we were received by His Excellency lead by Emeka Rollas, the President of Actors Guild of Nigeria, and by the grace of God we now have a strong foot hold and a cordial relationship with the entertainment arm of the Government through the singular move.

6. We have attracted the State Government whom is interested in projects and productions that will particularly affect positively the rural areas of the state, courtesy of the Governor.

7. We have started re-inviting all and sundry to start attending meetings and on stipulated time (10am to 12noon)  and accountability shown in clear terms.

8. Monthly birthdays are introduced as celebrants share cakes, food and quality refreshments at every monthly general meeting.

9. We have shown our solidarity with Enugu State on-air personalities exhibited recently during their award night.

10. We are currently on a media familiarization tour for the next 2 weeks with our friends and counterparts in both print, radio, tv and social media.

11. We recently handled a documentary for Enugu Unity Park. This was done to showcase one of the achievements of the sitting governor, his Excellency Rtn. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, letting the world know that Enugu State is a place to visit, as the eastern State that enjoys maximum peace and security. As the saying goes, "all work and no play makes jack a dull boy".

12. We are hoping to partner with Enugu SME agency in training our members to be more engaged and productive asides Filmmaking encouraging multiple streams of income, not just relying on making movies.

13. We have equally invited SSA to Governor Lawrence Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi on Youth and Empowerment, who taught and educated members on Cripto currency and the immense opportunities accruing to it's investors. He emphasized Zuga coin and also gifted the Guild a 100 million Zuga coin by way of empowerment.

14. We have also concluded move to have collaboration on programs with RATAWU. This necessitated the visit to the former national vice president of RATAWU Chief Ndudi Chude who assured us of maximum cooperation as the Chairman of RATAWU Enugu State.

15. We also in seeking for ways forward, had a meeting with the commissioner for culture and tourism. Hon. Ugonna Ibe with assurances of his maximum cooperation and collaboration

These we have achieved and a lot more on the pipeline yet to be conquered.

God bless Nigeria.
God bless Enugu State.
God bless ACTORS GUILD OF NIGERIA.
God bless ACTORS GUILD OF NIGERIA ENUGU STATE CHAPTER.

AGN Enugu Extols Gov. Ugwuanyi's Move To Invest In Nollywood: Brown Ene

Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Governor Enugu State

In a bid to continually re-establish, resuscitate and strengthen ongoing efforts towards positioning the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Enugu State Chapter in readiness to take on uncharted courses and uncommon strides in the right direction, the executive members of the Actors Guild led by its Chairman, Comr. Brown N. Ene wishes to use this medium to thank and appreciate the Government of Enugu State on its decision towards venturing into Filmmaking and Movie Production.

This move is coming in no better time than now where film has become a veritable tool towards creating mass job opportunities hence tackling unemployment and youth restiveness in the State. A welcomed development by all measure, as film production, when given prime attention is a sure avenue towards showcasing, promoting and projecting the arts, tourism potentials and rich cultural heritage of Coal City, Enugu State to the global audience.

Ndi Enugu is indeed blessed to have the kind of Governor it has in the person of His Excellency, Rotn. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi at the helm of affairs of the State. His concerted efforts, giant strides and clear cut motives towards urban renewal drive has been second to none. I wish to also specifically thank His Excellency on his remarkable initiatives and clear recorded feats such as The Unity Park relaxation expanse which has immensely boosted tourism attraction in the city centre both for filmmakers, local and international tourists alike; The GburusCare Initiative, a free health care exercise targeting the elderly and aged in the society which the Actors Guild of Nigeria Elders Forum (AGNEF) under the leadership of Chief Chika Okpala A.K.A Zeburdaya have benefited graciously from. Not forgetting the SME Creative Industries’ Support which is currently being explored by the Guild.

For the interests of teeming members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Enugu State Chapter under my superintendence and the overall interests of the great people of Enugu State, the Government of the day, I will continually seek avenues to building bridges, consolidating on already established and existing relationships whilst readily aligning with partners within the State and beyond whom are keen on taking the Enugu State to enviable heights.

Enugu State is indeed in the Hands of God!

God bless Enugu State.
God bless Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

A NEW DIRECTION FOR ACTORS GUILD OF NIGERIA, ENUGU STATE CHAPTER: THE BROWN ENE'S MANDATE

Brown Nnaemeka Ene

My name is Brown Ene, and I wish to share a story that has become part of my driving force towards the journey to transforming the current state of affairs of the Actors Guild, Enugu State Chapter.

Growing up, I was attracted to the movie industry watching the likes of legendary Pete Edochie, Nkem Owoh (Osuofia), Steve Ebo (Ajebo), Patience Ozokwo (mama gee), Mr. Ibu whom are all members of Enugu State Chapter of the Actors Guild, plus many other veterans from the Eastern part of the country and beyond, interestingly, majority of whom began their acting career here in Enugu, the coal city.

These enlisted veterans through the Guild, has shaped and affected my career both directly and indirectly.

Worthy of note is the obvious fact that AGN
Enugu State Chapter used to be the numero uno chapter of the guild and unarguably the prime destination for actors plus record breaking and chart topping Nollywood blockbusters like, Igodo, Rattle Snake, Nneka The Pretty Serpent, Amadas, Glamour Girls, Violated, Domitilla, True Confessions to mention but a few, back in the 90s.

Today I look and wonder, what happened?
Where and how did we get it all wrong? What of our veterans, what are they are upto? Why the regression? Many pertinent questions that constantly beg for answers.

This has formed the crux of my mantra:
Call: Actors Guild Enugu Chapter?
Response: Must be great again!

You might ask, how do I intend to make AGN Enugu Chapter great again? How do we bridge the gap, level up and surpass what other chapters like Lagos, Abuja, Imo, Awka etc have attained over recent years?

Brown Ene N.
Join me on this ride as we move to take Enugu Chapter back to its enviable position on the guild’s map whilst permitting me to pilot the State Chapter’s affairs as its next Executive Chairman in the forthcoming election, and beyond.

ITS TIME TO WORK THE WORK, NOT TO TALK THE TALK!

ALL I WISH IS TO CHANGE THE NARRATIVE!!

I AM HERE TO SERVE YOU AND BETTER!!!

Signed,
For: Brown Nnaemeka Ene’s Campaign Organization
