THE CHILDREN NURTURER, OMELOGO NNADI RELEASES EPISODE 1, SEASON 2 OF THE CHILDREN NURTURER SERIES THEMED, "STAYING FOR THE CHILDREN"

What better time than now for The Children Nurturer Series Season 2 to Premiere, especially with the topic; Staying (in Violence) For the Children., the children nurturer, Omelogo Nnadi enthused.

With the theme: "WHEN YOU STAY IN VIOLENCE FOR THE CHILDREN", ITS PROS & CONS, this coincided on Day 7 of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence 2020. According to UN reports, and in 2019 alone, 243 million women and girls were abused by an intimate partner and this number is despite the fact, less than 40 percent of women who experience violence report it or seek help.
Many of them stay. This year, within the months COVID-19 pandemic grounded the world, violence against women and girls reached beyond pandemic proportions. Yet, many of them stay. Why? Of the many reasons, one that recurs is, “For the Children.” And that’s where our focus on this 1st Episode of the Children Nurturer Series, Season 2 lies; Staying in Violence, For the Children. One of the reasons domestic violence persists is the syndrome of the vicious cycle; a situation where a woman suffers violence, stays for the children, exposes these children to these unhealthy and damaging experiences and the cycle repeats non stop. This year’s 16 Days of Activism focuses on four key areas: Funding, Response to Victims, Prevention and Collection of Data. Of these, our focus, on this episode of The Children Nurturer Series, is Prevention; What you need to do is simple. Please watch.
