The Inspector General of police, Hafiz Ringim, this morning tendered his resignation letter to the Federal Govt. Six DIGs also resigned.

The new IG of police is Mohammed D. Abubakar, an Assistant Inspector General of police, in charge of Zone 12, Bauchi and also a one time Lagos State commissioner of police.

He took his love a step further by collaborating with his elder brother-Godwin and a few other friends to form a Rap Group they named-The Psychopaths made up of 8 members, they experimented in the studios bringing all the 8 elements together, but never released an Album or any of the singles.

 While the Nigerian community was busy cracking the hard nut of the subsidy removal which was rocking the entire Nation, Ugonna Madueke, son of Nigeria's Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison Madueke, was busy winning and dinning in America. It was obvious the subsidy in his flamboyant  and wasteful lifestyle kept multiplying by the second.

Informed sources confirmed that Ugonna is a jolly good fellow and loves to party hard, as well as prides in settling for very expensive and high class items.

For Ugonna who is based in the United States of America, all is well that clubs, womanises and pops very well.
Well, lets see how far this can take the Madueke's.

Meanwhile, it is on record that Diezani Alison Madueke, is one minister who had defended president GoodluckJonathan effortlessly over the years and during the subsidy removal strike, kept imposing the condition on Nigerians.

After a successful cinema run across the world, clinching awards as well as emerging Official selections by reputable film festivals, the most anticipated Nigerian film of all time,The Figurine (Araromire) is finally out on DVD.

The original DVD is now out and comes with almost four hours of content including the two-hour movie and additional features such as The Making and Deleted Scenes.
It’s available at retail stores all over the country, the Hub Media Store at The Palms and Silverbird Galleria and also available on the streets.

The Figurine (Araromire) movie won five AMAA awards in 2010 including Best Picture, Best Actor in a Lead Role, Best Heart of Africa Film, Best Visual Effects and Best Cinematography. It was officially selected at Rotterdam International Film Festival, New York Africa Film Festival and FESPACO.

The movie got an honorary mention at the Pan African Film Festival, Los Angeles, USA.

Its cast include top actors like Ramsey Nouah, Kunle Afolayan, Omoni Oboli, Funlola Aofiyebi, Jide Kosoko, Wale Adebayo, Tosin Sido amongst others.

       The Figurine (Araromire) is a story of two buddies and a girl...all down on their luck to have their lives changed when one of them discovers 'Araromire' a mysterious figurine in an abandoned shrine which, according to legend bestows seven years of good luck. But no one told them about the next seven years. 

It is a movie filled with suspense and intrigues till the last minute. The viewer will never have an inkling how  the movie will end, what will happen next nor how it will climax. Ramsey Nouah, Kunle Afolayan, Omoni Oboli, Funlola Aofiyebi and Tosin Sido put up the best performances of their lives as they held the viewer spellbound throughout the duration of the film. The picture quality, sound effect and editing sure set The Figurine apart from the normal Nollywood movie.
