Abuja, Nigeria – October 4, 2024: The highly anticipated 12th Edition of Nollywood New Yam
Festival & Awards, set for rebranding as Nollywood Cultural Heritage
Festival, is set to take place on November 1st and 2nd, 2024, at the
Exhibition Pavilion, Area 11, Garki, Abuja. This year's festival
promises to be a monumental celebration of African culture, uniting Africans
and the global community in a cultural exchange, while shining a spotlight on
the pivotal role of African women in preserving African heritage.

The Nollywood Cultural Heritage Festival
is a prestigious event that celebrates the vibrant culture, creativity, and
traditions of Africa. For over a decade, it has provided a platform for
preserving, showcasing, and promoting African cultural values while recognizing
individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the cultural and
creative sectors, particularly Nollywood.
This year's theme, "The Role of African Woman in the Preservation of African Culture," emphasizes the invaluable contributions of women across the continent and the diaspora in sustaining African traditions, storytelling, and heritage. Attendees can expect a diverse and engaging lineup of events that celebrate African food, fashion, arts, and more, all while fostering a sense of unity and pride.

- Unveiling of the New Ambassador and Face of Nollywood Cultural
Heritage Festival:
The festival will unveil the new cultural ambassador, a figure who will serve as the representative of African heritage and creativity. - Youths Cultural Festival & Arts Exhibition:
Youths from across the country and beyond, will come together to participate in a Cultural Festival & Arts Exhibition, showcasing their talents and interpretations of African heritage through arts, music, and performances.

family-friendly segment that will offer a rich learning environment for
children, with Folk Tales, Traditional Games, Dances,
Scholarships and Books Presentation and an interactive Artistic Displays,
introducing them to the beauty of African traditions in a fun and engaging
manner.

Join cultural thought leaders and creatives for insightful discussions on African culture preservation, the role of Nollywood, and African women in shaping the future of heritage and culture with the goal of celebrating African cultural values, traditions, and the profound impact of women in sustaining these traditions across generations. - Abuja City Tour:

brightest minds. This event promises a relaxed atmosphere filled with
gourmet food, drinks, entertainment, comedy, and live music, creating the

In a significant rebranding, the Nollywood New Yam Festival & Awards will officially transition into the Nollywood Cultural Heritage Festival, symbolizing a broader and more inclusive celebration of African culture and heritage.
A major rebranding effort that will mark the unveiling of a new logo and brand identity for the Nollywood Cultural Heritage Festival, signalling the festival's evolution and expanded focus on African heritage.
